Error readind /proc/ file with abinit 8.10.3

Post by ogando » Wed Oct 09, 2019 5:24 pm

Greetings !!

I am using ABINIT 8.10.3 in a cluster with 336 nodes, Intel Xeon SandyBridge E5-2670 processors, Lustre system for data storage and SLURM.
ABINIT was compiled with intel/2018.3.222 , mkl/2018.3.222 , impi/2018.3.222 , fftw/3.3.8 , netcdf-c/4.6.1 and netcdf-f/4.4.4.
"Some times", at the very beginning of the calculation, I got a message like :

forrtl: severe (24): end-of-file during read, unit 5, file /proc/28276/fd/0
Image PC Routine Line Source
libifcoremt.so.5 00002AD140476622 for__io_return Unknown Unknown

libc-2.22.so 00002AD1428F8725 __libc_start_main Unknown Unknown
abinit 00000000004095C9 Unknown Unknown Unknown

and other times the calculation runs without any problem.
The command I use in the submission script is : mpirun --n 736 abinit < abinit.files > logabinit.out
I have found two similar posts in the forum, but related to the execution of "make check" with "mpirun -np 1".
I would like to know if someone else has faced this problem and I would thank for any suggestion.
All the best,
Luis
