Hi Steve,

The last ABINIT version running natively under windows 64bits was 7.2.2
To build ABINIT, we used Cygwin environment with autotools & Co , cross compiler MingW32 to create a natif binary and a free mpich2 1.4.1 package from http://www.mcs.anl.gov/research/projects/mpich2/

Unfortunately, the MPICH2 team decided to stop native support for MPICH2 under Windows in favor of Microsoft MPI package

Meanwhile, Cygwin64 environment is out !
The performance of ABINIT created entirely under Cygwin64 are excellent !
No overhead : the tests will run as fast as Linux equivalent hardware/software …
We therefore decided to stop dealing a Windows package.
