Problem when Using optic to Calc Dielectric

Post by ljludwig » Sat Feb 09, 2013 11:07 pm

Dear ALL:

I try to calculate linear and non-linear dielectric functions, as it does in Tutorial Optic: http://www.abinit.org/documentation/hel ... optic.html

The first step is to generate DDKs in all 3 dimensions and wave function in full B.Z; it takes long time but is done eventually. Then I try to use optic to calcualte Dielectric function,
while it gives the following error message:

[ rwwf.F90:355:ERROR
Reading option of rwwf. Trying to read
the (npw,nspinor,nband) record of a wf file, unit= 11
gave iostat= -1. Your file is likely not correct.
Action: check your input wf file:
SnTe_optic_o_DS4_1WF7 ]

Both win7 64bit version package and cygwin version are tried; the above only occurs in Cygwin version of optic; when using cmd in Win7, the optic.exe program is forced to close, like any other program error.

Any hint to this problem? Thanks a lot for any kind of suggestions!!

Previously, in order to save memory, I used "mffmem" and "mkmem" options in the abinit input file. I deleted these memory-saving lines and run again, it still fails.. Too bad.
